Refractive Lens Surgery
Looking for 20/20 vision?
Refractive lens surgery, or Refractive Lens exchange as it is also known, has a number of options depending on your suitability. It is especially suitable if your consultant has said you are not suitable for laser eye surgery.
Benefits of Refractive Lens Surgery
- No need to wear glasses or contact lenses
- Eliminates the need for Cataract surgery later in life
- A replacement for your natural eye and is designed to last the rest of your life
- Greater clarity of vision
- Sharper focus at multiple distances
Refractive Lens Exchange
Refractive Lens surgery, also known as lens replacement swaps your eyes clear natural lens with an intraocular lens to correct any refractive errors. Alternatively Refractive lenses can be used to create monovision. 95% of patients are glasses free following lens surgery.
Implantable Contact Lens
If you have been told you that you’re unsuitable for laser surgery but you still wish to get rid of your glasses or contact lenses, we can offer the option of internal contact lenses. This option lets you keep your own natural lens and adds an internal contact lens on top
This is another option available to patients at iSIGHT. It is a procedure used to treat distance vision and presbyopia (which affects our inability to focus on near vision, such as reading a book, sewing, using the computer. Presbyopia usually happens around the mid 40’s).
